That is, of course, if we got the Polo in the USA.
It seems like it's more of a throwback to the original GTI than the current Golf is.
And apparently, according to Wikipedia, the engine is twincharged. Awesome.

If we got this, the United States would be a much better place. Especially for myself.

Are you listening VW!?
Bring over the Scirocco while you're at it.

For my sanity, they best bring the Scirocco over also.
I'd also like the manufacturing rights, and all the old molds/parts for the W8 Wagon, where I actually could create the proper amount of them with manual.

You'd be doing god's work.
You could always see if GM could give you a few LT4s to put in there...

Haha, Not for the W8 though!
I'll also order a couple of Vr6 engines for my A4.
I've really got to sort out how I plan on getting all this shit, maybe if I asked nicely and sent them a gift bag or something.

I'm guessing this thing weighs what the GenI/II GTIs weighed, which should be about right. I drove a Gen 1 long ago and loved its tossability. Haven't driven the current car, but I'm guessing it's more of a handful.

Issue with this is DSG only.

Not an issue because VW's DSG is pretty highly regarded.

I'll eat my hat if it's anywhere close to their weight.
Going off the Mk5 Polo GTI it should sit at around 1140Kg's/2513lbs
the old Mk1 GTI's were 810Kg/1,785 lbs

I would too. why? because I've been in Europe and driven polos. they are what the MK1 was 30 years ago. Brilliant.
